In God We Trust

When we say we are trusting God are really doing it or are we just saying it to sound good and holy? I think many times we are just saying it cause it sounds good and makes us feel better about ourselves. But really trusting in God is casting all your cares on Him cause you know that He can handle it. He is our strength when we feel weak, He is our provision when we need to be provided for. Trust, rely, lay back in Him because God loves you and cares about you and wants to see you succeed in all that you do.

Hope

Sorry I haven't written in a few days was on vacation, but hey I am back now and we will keep rollin. What do you do when your back is up against the wall and it seems like there is no way out? You fight to get off the wall right, you don't give up. Why is that, because things are subject to change. One slip up of your opponent can be your single swing to victory. As you continue to fight hold on to that hope that started you in this fight in first place. It is that hope that is your blue print to the victory in your battle. If hope leaves than there is no reason to continue fighting. At the end of this book that I read often, it says that we win, we overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. Don't worry you will come through better than before.

Numb

This is a great video and song about how life is sometimes. At certain points in our life we become numb, numb to God, our friends, family. We get to a point where things that we should be against we are just like, whatever. Like for me I hate when people scrape their forks across their teeth when they are eating. I know it is petty, but it is just disturbing for me. But lately I just don't even care, you can do it all you want.

That is how many of us have gotten about sin, we do it so much and it is accepted so easily in society that people don't care. Morals and values in this world are changing, we are beginning to live in a world where anything goes and there is no one speaking up. Have you let your morals slip lately? If so pick up that book we call a BIBLE and read it and it will show you what your values should be and make the change and speak out against sin and things that are against nature. Don't become numb.

Who do you live for, is it your girl, your man? Is it your friends? I remember there was a time when all I could do was eat, sleep and drink my girl. All I could do is think about her, I couldn't wait to see her and be with her. When I was with her I couldn't think about anybody else, all I could think about was her. Her presence made me comfortable and care free.

That is how we need to be for God, living for Him. Anticipating waking up to see Him and hear from Him. Worshiping God is what our desires should be, but sometimes we don't make it a priority like we do for our girls or men. Sometimes you just don't feel like praising and worshiping the creator. I feel you on that young people, cause I am the same way. I don't ever feel like waking up worshiping my Father, but I know the benefits and I know I was created to do it and that is what makes me do it. Just like in the winter and spring you all work out really hard to get your bodies tight. Why? So you can wear that bikini or so you can walk around shirtless. It has its benefits right, more numbers, more looks from the opposite sex.

Proverbs 22:4
By humility and the fear of the LORD Are riches and honor and life.

Fear of the Lord is translated as a worshipful understanding and posture. So worshiping God brings riches and honor and life to the fullest extent. I think we all could use some riches and some honor and definitely life so we can enjoy our riches and honor. So I challenge you today to wake up and give God a few minutes of your time and tell him how much you love Him. Your day will be so much better trust.

FireProof

Is your Faith in God Fireproof? So many times we pray for things or believe God for things, but there is a waiting period. And during this waiting period many times things come up to detour us from what it is we are believing for. That is simply the devil trying to get you off track and steal from you the dreams that you have. I would encourage you to worship while you wait for that answered prayer, serve in someway during that waiting period. Hold on to that belief it will manifest at the right time. God is faithful to His word, you be faithful to what it is you are believing to receive. On Monday Tanya and I will be starting a 40 day Faith Dare. Huh? You might ask, we will explain it in the days to come but we feel like we cant challenge you or share it fully with you until we complete it and see the manifestation for us. We have to be our best customer. Love you guys, we'll talk tomorrow.

The Click

Hey everyone no videos or music on this blog. I want to share something that just was placed on my heart. Has anyone out there every been in a click? Like your people had handshakes, certain colors you wore, each person had a nickname. I have been in one called T.H.W.(pronounced T.H.Dubb) The Hard Way. We consider ourselves baby 40's which is a local gang in L.A. My nickname was and don't laugh Gamie Amey, I knew how to run game on teachers and administrators as school. We were a huge click originating from Hamilton High School and spreading to other High Schools in the area. We consider ourselves family and anything ever happened we had each other backs. We all hung together and knew each others habits and knew how to get under each others skin. Looking back at that I saw how childish it was and stupid. But there is something in that that we are missing in our lives as Christians.

We are each others click, the Christian family. We are suppose to take care of each other, pick each other when we are down. But there is far to much backbiting in the church where people are really turned off from going to church. The purpose of church is to bring others in to learn about Christ and develop their walk as Christians. Do you care for your brothers and sisters in the church? Do you care about others who are around you or is it about yourself? I encourage you to treat the entire church as a click, band together and care for one another. Life is too short to destroy friendships over nothing. Just think about it.

Reaching your Generation

You have the power to reach your generation. There are young people waiting to be reached by you. You don't have to be old to share Christ with someone you are more effective reaching your friends than adults. Take the tv show exiled for instance you saw the clip with Sierra and how bad her attitude on life was and it took a girl from Africa her same age to bring a reality check to her life. That shows the power that you have to reach your generation. Your friends are waiting for you to tell them about Christ and what He has done for you. Set the example and watch others follow in your footsteps. The time is now to reach the people for God, they are itching for a Savior, to know a God who cares for them and loves them. And guess what we are His mouthpieces lets share the good news with others. Livin' out Loud Bishop

Dating God

Definition - The act of wooing in love; solicitation of woman to marriage. This method of courtship, [by which] both sides are prepared for all the matrimonial adventures that are to follow. --Goldsmith.

It is at this stage that the man is pulling out all of his tricks to show you who he his and what he can do for you. He is stating his case for you to stay in his life forever. To never leave him cause he would never leave you. It is at this stage that you make your decision as to whether or not stay with him or leave.

Usually the decision to leave or stay is as a result of what you have experienced thus far. It is said that an experience can make the most important impact on what you believe. God has pulled out all He has to show you what he can do for your so the choice is yours to stick with Him or ditch Him. Some people feel that God is not always there for them or He doesn’t show up when the need Him the most. Ask yourself these questions, have you gone all out for God? Have you done all you can do to make this relationship work? Have you been faithful to Him?

Stop dating God and make a decision today to fully trust in Him and His abilities as creator of the earth. He loves you and wants nothing but the best for you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He is giving, loving and caring and most of all he is forgiving there is nothing you can do that can separate you from the love of God. If you mess up just repent and He will bring you back in like nothing ever happened. It is time for us to "Fall in Love" with God.

Believe You Recieve

What you see in that picture there is a result of FAITH. Prior to getting married my wife and I decided to have kids. We picked out there names and everything. She wanted a boy first and I wanted a girl first. My reasons for having a girl first were so she could help her baby brother get girlfriends and stuff. Clearly selfish, I know I know but hey that was my reasoning.

Well we soon came into agreement and decided it would be best to have a boy first before the girls to help look after his sisters. That is our little story about our baby boy that will be here in June.

What is faith? How do I believe? Well the answer is easy, faith is acting on what you believe. When you were in school you believed that every time you sat in your chair it would hold your weight. And since you believed that you acted on it and sat down time after time. The chair could have had screws missing or a leg missing but you just sat down and didn't check it out. That was faith and belief at work.

I cant see it, but I just believe it is so; is the attitude you have to have. In October prior to the baby making action. LOL. We prayed before God and asked him that when conception was made a baby boy would be conceived. At that very moment we believed we received our baby boy that night. Our confession was that we had a boy, we even began to buy baby clothes for a boy. We saw it on the canvas of our imagination and couldn't be turned other wise. Many people said God will give you what He wants you to have but that isn't so. We believe that God gives the desires of your heart. And we held on to that and on January 26 we got out physical confirmation that what we prayed for came to pass, a BOY!

So what do you want? What are your desires? Pray for them believe you receive them and you will have them. Keep confessing you have it and don't let anyone detour you from what you are believing for. Here are some scriptures to use for faith: Mark 11:23-24, 1John 5:14-15. Read these scriptures and place them in your prayer and see your prayers being answered.

Live YOUR Life

Question, are you Living your Life as God has purposed it or are you chasing dreams of riches and fame and forgetting who provides it all for you?

You have to live your life, not someone elses so called life. Cause you know what ,there life can be really messed up on the inside. Everything that glitters is not always gold. Take sometime today, five to ten minutes or even more to really find out what it is that God has called you to do. Cause when you do that thing, that is where your riches and fame come from. As you keep God on your mind, God will be minding your money. Matt. 6:33 says seek first the Kingdom of God and all those things you have need of will be met. Follow that example live the life and purpose God has ordained for you and you will see true happiness.

It took me a minute to realize that I was living life to accomplish what I saw others doing on TV until one day I saw that the stuff on TV was rented not even theirs. Then I began to see those people ending up in court and jails and getting shot at, light bulb, it is all fake, a hoop dream. Then I found my purpose, reaching people and I am really satisfied with that. Jamaica is my home and the people their are my people. You all brighten my day and cause me to live my life as God purposed it and I can say I am happy happy.

Are you Scared?

What are you scared of? Do you have a phobia?

I will share this about myself, I do not like scary movies. I used to be really scared of them until a good friend of mine forced me to see Saw II. I sat through the whole movie and at the end I understood why I didn't like them (scary movies). It wasn't that I was scared it was that they were disturbing and sickening. I am good on scary movies not that I am scared of them but I just don't want to put myself through all that garbage. If you love scary movies by all means please continue.

Now Jazmine Sullivan states that she is not afraid of Lions, Tigers and Bears. Her back up vocals ask what is she afraid of and she says to them "Nothing." As Christians we have been given a promise that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind, 2 Timothy 1:7. So if God hasn't given us the spirit of fear who has, the Devil. The devil has given us the spirit of fear and some of us are accepting it or receiving the gift of fear from him. The devil is the father of lies and he is lying to you if you believe you have to live in fear all your life. Some are afraid to love, some to fly, others to get on a boat. Stop living in fear and face them head on and tell them they have no hold on you. Those fears are stopping you from experiencing the good life. I used to be afraid to holla at girls, you know get there numbers. I am married now with a kid on the way, I faced my fears and released them, release yours today and be bold like Jazmine said.

Closer Pt.2

In the last post we were talking about coming closer to God like never before. A scripture comes to mind when I think about this subject:

Psalms 91
1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler[a]
And from the perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

That word abide is so important your happiness in life. I remember when I was little and I would be somewhere where I didn't know people I would hold onto my mom or dad for dear life. I would stay right underneath them as if they were shielding me from something. That is abiding, taking up residence under Gods presence. You have to take a stance and say no matter what comes my way, who mi look at, I am staying put in His presence. Just like when I try to stay put on Doctor Caves beach to get a tan under the sun, I am not leaving that beach till I am purple. That is how you have to be with Gods presence. You have to say, I am not leaving, I am here till the end, I need you cant live without you Lord.

Verse 2-6 shows you the benefit of abiding, "PROTECTION!" I know it gets hard in Hanover and Anchovy and Kingston and South Central and Compton or Watts. But God says that if you take up residence in His presence He's gotch you. Can't no blood, crip, yard boy, rude boy take you out. As long as you abide in HIM.
